  • 1 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. these are teachers and the Ministry of Education clearly is the one in charge of teachers; it has handled this matter before even in the Question. Even if the Ministry of Finance comes in, it is as an agent on behalf of the Ministry of Education; you are still the principal! Can you, therefore, tell this House what you are doing to actually liaise with the Ministry of Finance and own up? Are you in order to attempt to escape your obligation? view

  • 26 Oct 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Is it in order for the Member for Gwassi to impute improper motive on hon. Members? Could he withdraw those comments and apologize? view

The Assistant Minister is being asked what the Government policy is, and he keeps on repeating that this House only passed Kshs1 billion. Did the Government ask for more and this House refused? This is endangering the input procurement process and assurances for payments and other loans. So, what is the Ministry doing to protect ... view
  • 18 Oct 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, it is apparent that the deterioration of the value of the Kenya Shilling is having a direct and also an indirect impact on the general cost of living for Kenyans, especially on inflation. Could the Minister tell the country what measures the Government intends to take to cushion, especially the end consumers against the impact of the inflation arising as a result of the depreciating Kenyan Shilling? view
  • 8 Sep 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. The Assistant Minister says that this teacher was not taken because she had not met the specific grade in Form Four yet it is on record from the Assistant Minister that she took a Chemistry subject at the university level. He also says that there is also a policy allowing for upgrading of the subject. Is he not misleading this House to defend the decision that was made in view of the fact that the course taken at the university amounted to more than overgrading? view
