We are facing a lot of challenges and inadequacies in staffing in our schools. With the current situation where teachers’ lives are in danger in some of the areas in this country which have a lot of insecurity like in the North Eastern, parts of Kerio Valley and in the North Rift, the best thing to do is to accept that this is a reality.   • 11 Oct 2017 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Chairman. As you have rightly put it, my name is Peter Lochakapong, Member for Sigor Constituency, West Pokot County. I support this amendment. It will ensure that people work hard as opposed to just sitting down and waiting for technicalities so that they get a reason for invalidating election results. It will ensure that in future, nobody uses technicalities to invalidate any election result. Thank you. view

  • 14 Sep 2017 in National Assembly: and up to now. We have been waiting for an opportunity to make our first speech in the National Assembly. I commend His Excellency the President for the Speech that he made on Tuesday, while opening this House. I also thank him for abiding by the Constitution. Although he does not agree with the Supreme Court ruling that annulled his election, he has agreed to abide by it.
