  • 19 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I appreciate the action taken by the Assistant Minister. At the same time, note that, he has said that the waste there is hazardous and that the burning of the waste is producing air pollutants. • 18 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I agree with you. However, according to the answer he has given us, Kshs3.7 million has been spent on work which is on the ground. The understanding is that there is no work that has been done. "Builders works" means that some work has been done. What is the breakdown of the Kshs3.7 million that was spent on works on the ground? view
  • 18 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I seek the indulgence of the Chair to allow me to give a notice of Motion for Adjournment of the House under Standing Order No.20 in order to discuss a definite matter of urgent national importance concerning extra-judicial executions, torture by- -- view

  • 17 Feb 2009 in National Assembly: (a) Considering the health hazards posed to Ndiuni residents by the burning of toxic waste materials in a dumping site in Ngarariga, Limuru Constituency, could the Minister clarify how the site is managed and why NEMA has not taken any action against those responsible for dumping and burning waste material at the site? view
