On the one hand, the Ministry of Health advocates for precautionary use of GMOs and acknowledged that, indeed, glyphosate posed serious health risks to human beings. On the other hand, the Ministry of Agriculture was of a contrary opinion, stating that GMOs are harmless and that no scientific evidence exists on the dangers of the use of glyphosate.
