Thank you, Hon Temporary Deputy Speaker. I support this Bill. It is well specified that it will provide a framework on protection and promotion of traditional knowledge. It will be important because we have many children born in Kenya and some outside Kenya. By having this Bill, they will be referring to most of the issues so that we may not leave our culture and follow other people’s culture. So, I support this Bill. Thank you.

Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I stand to support this Bill brought by Hon. Jude Njomo. It has become a very costly business venture for ordinary Kenyan to continue banking. Kenyans who have taken mortgages are unable to repay the loans because interest rates keep going up. There are also many indirect costs. Sometimes you are not even given indication of who to address these issues to or somebody who can take you through what is happening and for how long it is going to take place. Many times you go to the bank and you are given a ...

Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity to support the two nominees. Looking at their academic credentials and working experience together with their teaching experiences from various universities, I support their appointment because I know that we have been longing to have people who are experts in various fields. Dr. Andrew K. Tuimur, being a specialist in livestock and that line of operation, I believe he will help Kenyans from all parts of the country, in spite of their various standards of living and their communities. I believe he will spread out his wings because there ...

Mr. Patrick Nduati comes from the World Bank environment; he has worked in various areas of water and sanitation. He should embrace all Kenyans from wherever they come from, and put everything in place so that we can be served. All these appointees are coming in knowing very well that all Kenyans are fighting corruption. Therefore, they should not come in to cultivate corruption, but to fight corruption. With those few remarks, I thank you for giving me this opportunity. I support.

Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I support this Bill and I thank Hon. Neto for coming up with it. It is going to do much when it comes to the records and information management of our health services. When you look at the regulations that will have to regulate the health records and information managers who are going to be in charge of the records in our health services throughout the country and, more so, in our counties--- In the past, there are many cases that have come up in the country where we have had a number of ...

have been captured early enough. We would have come up with a solution on how to save the lives of our children from various health centres. You saw quite a number of children from Busia who had to come all the way to Nairobi to be given special treatment just because we could not capture information on who was on duty on that day. So, when we have those records information managers, they will be capturing that information in good time. I want to support the formation of the board and the powers it is given. It will be in ...

When we go to our counties sometimes it is very hard to get records from our old mamas and elders in the counties. When they visit health facilities and obtain records, sometimes it is not easy for them to keep those records when they go back home. However, once we establish these professionals, it will then be easy to recall records from the information already recorded in the hospital, and to follow up what happened to a patient when they came to the hospital. When these records are computerised, it will be so easy because with the click of a ...

Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I stand to support this Bill and I thank Hon. Keynan for bringing the Bill to this House. It feels very nice as Members of Parliament to know that we have freedom of speech and protection. When I comment or utter any words as a Member of Parliament, with respect of course, I need to be assured of protection according to this Bill. The other thing is the protection of members of staff. This is very important because even as they work with us, yes, they know we are Members of Parliament, but it ...
