It is unfortunate that today we are talking about our cash crops; coffee, tea, pyrethrum and sugar while we know very well, they are the backbone of our economy. Personally, I come from the coffee and tea area and our farmers are really suffering. They are unable to take their children to school or feed them and rely on the MPs. • 27 Feb 2020 in National Assembly: Lastly, our farmers do not know where to run. They do not have money and whenever they take their coffee to the factory they are not paid. If the Coffee Research Institute is unable to provide them with the best seedlings, where will they go? So, I commend the Committee and support this Report. Considering what our society is going through, our children go to an extent of stealing money because these days our youth do not want to work. They want to bet and make easy money. They will help our county governments to control betting because they will be issuing licences to the people managing those games. Having a new board will also help a lot because the Government is losing a lot of money because everybody was opening gaming shops because it was easy. Many youths were always ready to bet in those gaming shops. Many people are going into depression because they go with the little money they have and do not win.
