One of our approaches to delivering Universal Health Coverage (UHC) is partnerships with donors, NGOs and other non-governmental actors, including civil society, in ensuring that we deliver UHC. What we have done at the Ministry is that in the past, most donor partners have been delivering vertical programmes. However, as it is now at the Ministry of Health, we are ensuring that we work together towards achieving the Government objective of UHC and leaving no one behind. In the last two months where we did the level of service assessment, this exercise was undertaken together with the county governments. In all the health initiatives that we undertake, we do it jointly with county governments, so that data is shared immediately and they can know the results of the assessment that has been done.
