  • 9 May 2019 in National Assembly: (Female). Hon. Deputy Speaker, you will notice that Embakasi South has had a by-election and it is necessary for us to allow these nominees for purpose of the Member and the constituents to be able to utilise the NG-CDF disbursements that come from the board. The fact that we are going on recess sometime later, it is necessary that we do let the Member have this committee so that he is able to conduct business. It may not be feasible for us to hold the names. Now that he has brought the names, the House feels it is necessary to ... view
  • 9 May 2019 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, I wish to thank Members who have contributed to this Motion. As we wait for the approval of the members to the Embakasi South Constituency Committee of the NG-CDF, I will clarify what has been flying around about receiving 50 per cent of NG-CDF. For sure, until ... view
  • 24 Apr 2019 in National Assembly: leaders in a country. You then enlist and hire a choir of leaders to go cheering you around with the money you have stolen and you expect the country to cheer you all through. That must stop. We need a country with ethics. We need leaders with ethics and dignity. They should support all the things they bequeath their children because nobody can tell their children they are stealing. Even when you have stolen, you are ashamed of saying it. We want leaders to uphold national ethics. view
  • 3 Apr 2019 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, I wish to put in my word for Hilary Mutyambai as the next Inspector-General of Police. He is coming at a very delicate time because we are transitioning from a police force into a police service for the third time now having had Kimaiyo and Boinnet as the previous holders of that office. Now that we are on the third holder of the office during the transition time, we need somebody who is going to be very forceful in enforcing the new reforms. We need to take cue from the French professor who was giving evidence during ... view
