  • 24 Apr 2024 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this Motion on the establishment of priority boarding protocol for KDF and KSF personnel. I support this Motion because it is very important to our soldiers. Those are people who do not sleep and are never with their families. They are always away from their families. We sympathise with our relatives who are soldiers. They have no time to develop or be with their families and take care of them. As Members of Parliament, we should look at this issue and take care of their welfare. After ... view
  • 16 Apr 2024 in National Assembly: Thank you Hon. Speaker for giving me this opportunity. I want to add my voice to what Hon. Members have said. When an opportunity like this one comes by, we want all Kenyans to enjoy it. However, it is done in a way that we do not even understand who is being hired, and it does not reach the people who need to be employed. I am a Member of Parliament for two sub-counties, Narok North and Narok Central. Narok North is a hardship area and, therefore, the youths cannot come to a central division. I just want the vacancies ... view

  • 21 Mar 2024 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to support the Report on the Special Funds Accounts Committee. As the other Members have said, it is interesting to see that when you go back to our constituencies, most of our youth are vanquished. They are in between the county government and the national Government. This is because the county governments issue the licenses. As a result, you find that most of our youth are now involved in drinking of the illicit brews and end up dying. We shall not have a generation that will inherit this land if ... view

  • 21 Mar 2024 in National Assembly: I support the report. I want the involvement to either be in the national Government or totally go to the county governments. When we go fighting those illicit brews, the community says it is the Government that issues the licenses and yet, do not care what happens to the people thereafter. Those special funds must be seen to go back to the people, to have rehabilitation centres. That is where we can take our children or our women. You find that women are also involved in the drinking. I support the report. Thank you. view

  • 28 Feb 2024 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me this opportunity. I want to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Education if he is aware that Narok North is seriously hit by a shortage of teachers. The teachers are running away to neighbouring constituencies where they benefit from hardship allowance. There are schools with a population of 700 pupils with only two teachers. Even in Junior Secondary School (JSS), there are classes with no teachers. view
