• 4 Jul 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you Hon. Deputy Speaker. I would like to join my colleagues in supporting the Leader of the Majority Party. In fact, as we are talking now, we are working on a report to present to Parliament. To be honest to the House, we have hundreds of Motions and Petitions pending to date. We have a lot of challenges especially in regard to the framing of Motions. • 4 Jul 2018 in National Assembly: Secretaries, Principal Secretary and others. They always tell us that the Motions mention Government and they ask who the Government is. I believe there is a Cabinet Secretary or somebody else who is supposed to take responsibility. Even framing of who is supposed to be responsible is a problem. So, it is upon us as a House to put everything in a way that will lead to implementation. view

We say that we pass a Motion, but when it goes to implementing agencies, they are unable to do so because they do not have a budget. • 4 Jul 2018 in National Assembly: I urge Members that because there are hundreds of Motions that are pending, to please approach the Committee and let us know, like Hon. Wamalwa has been doing, following his Motion relentlessly. If a Member has interest in any Motion, they should approach us. It is difficult for us to pick a particular Motion unless a Member follows it up. view
• 4 Jul 2018 in National Assembly: In fact, our Committee is supposed to be supported by all Committees. Instead it is treated as if it is an inferior Committee. I am complaining because we do not have a lady Member. This is the only Committee that comprises of male Members of Parliament. view

I would like to tell my colleagues that this is a very important Committee they should sacrifice and join us. Even if we were to have two lady Members, we will be very happy. view

I believe the law is also supporting it, but the problem has been its implementation. We should ensure as Parliament that the Motions we pass are implemented. I come from Narok. So, until and unless we protect our forests, there is no way we can contain that water.
