  • 18 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for allowing me to contribute to this. I like what Hon. Maore has said. We are going to step down this business using Standing Order No. 1. I ask the leadership of the House that by next week Monday or Tuesday when this matter comes before the House, we need to have money in our accounts. Let us not just talk about that we will go and discuss this and that. People want money. What will only make sense is money in our accounts. Yesterday when the Treasury knew that we were going to have a ... view
  • 11 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I support the Petition by the Member for Magarini. It is important that the prayers that he sought, especially the demarcation and issuance of title deeds to the residents, are addressed expeditiously. A title deed is a document that shows ownership of land. We have heard about the Galana-Kulalu issue for many years. Unfortunately, even with the billions spent, no single person has been arrested or arraigned in court for matters corruption. Yet we know that it has galloped millions and billions of shillings. I think this is something the Departmental Committee on Lands needs ... view

  • 11 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. Without anticipating what Mutunga and team will say, I confronted the Chairman here two days ago because the country has not had a vaccine of Foot and Mouth for the last one year. I do not know whether they have new information on any availability of the vaccine. I think that is the direction that we are all seeking. That is what farmers want. It is a serious thing and many farmers are approaching us as their representatives. They are asking us what will be done. When Hon. Mutunga tells us they are going to give ... view
  • 11 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: This is a problem they have had for the last close to two years and you can see the Member is agreeing with me. What we want is what the The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor. view
  • 11 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: Government has done or information whether there is any new development. We confronted the Chairman here and he told us there is no vaccine. When Hon. Mutunga gives a promise that he is going to give a response in two weeks, is there any new development? As far as we know, there is no vaccine. view

  • 9 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I did not want to interrupt the Mover, but considering that we do not have the moving notes, I will request that when he tells us what Kenya is going to benefit from, he can also tell us what the UK is bringing in. He is just giving one side of the story. Can he give us the other side? We do not have anything we can refer to. view
  • 9 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. Over the weekend a very significant event happened in this country in the Mt. Kenya region, where the Speaker appeared before Njuri-Ncheke and was declared a spokesperson. We want to acknowledge that position. You know Njuri-Ncheke is just like the Kaya of the Coast Region. They are a very significant group of elders in this country. Whatever they speak must be noted and we acknowledge. I wanted to congratulate you for the support from the Njuri-Ncheke . You should come to Mt. Elgon for further blessings. Thank you, Hon. Speaker. view
  • 4 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I rise to support this very important Bill. From the outset, I want to thank the Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security headed by Hon. Koinange. If you look at this Bill, you will find that they have done good homework. This is because they have looked at areas where it needs to be strengthened. In most cases when you talk about issues of drug trafficking… We have seen instances where drug traffickers in narcotics get lenient punishment. I think this has strengthened this. I have looked at how they are able to ... view
