Again, this is to clean up. The introduction of the same Motion in Senate had been omitted. We are now saying “introduce into Senate” in the same Motion. view
  • 27 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 9 of the Bill be amended by inserting the words “office known as the” before the word “Parliamentary”, delete the words “part” before the word “of” and replace with the words “an office in”,and then insert a new sub-section (2) for both to read as follows:- 9 (1) “The office known as the Parliamentary Budget Office shall continue to exist as an office in the Parliamentary Service”; view
  • 27 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: “In addition to any other criteria established by the Parliamentary Service Commission, the Budget Office shall consist of persons appointed on merit by virtue of their experience in finance, economics and public policy matters.” This is basically to confirm and reiterate that the Parliamentary Service Commission Budget Office shall exist to remove any doubt whatsoever. view
