  • 24 Oct 2018 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady, this is grammar. There are the words “shall be” which appear immediately after the words “or in writing”. That is Section 22(1). I can read: “A person who isn’t registered or licenced, including a person aiding or assisting therein, under this Act and makes or produces or causes to be made or produced any false or fraudulent presentation or declaration either orally or in writing shall be commits an offence...” “Shall be” is actually an error. It should be “…in writing commits and offence.” So we delete the words “shall be” which were misplaced. That is ... view
