  • 11 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I appreciate the fact that the Ministry of Energy is one of those Ministries which are run in a level-headed manner. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I have been travelling around the country and I realised that many projects are stalled because there are electricity poles on site, but there are no cables crossing from one pole to another. Is the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) experiencing a shortage of materials needed for the supply of electricity? We would like to see these projects go on well. view
  • 11 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, from my knowledge, when a contractor is doing work, he must have a schedule showing when he will commence the work, among other things. We are losing a lot of revenue to countries like Dubai who have hotels at their airports. In the earlier days, the Government used to invest in tourism infrastructure and you can see that most of the hotels and resorts have been put ... view
  • 6 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, recently, individuals were even terminating networks into their systems, for example, a company called Global International Life House. Is the Minister aware that the termination of international calls is being done illegally because people are just bringing in equipment into this country? view
  • 5 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Energy why there are frequent power blackouts in Siaya. view

  • 4 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. This is a very serious debate that we are having in this House and I think we have a quorum hitch as of now. I think we need to consult over that issue! view
  • 4 Sep 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I clearly said that there is a quorum hitch in the House. It is clear! view
