  • 5 Nov 2020 in Senate: can only be captured in a Bill. I hope that when that Bill is developed, it can help and elaborate more on how these children with special needs can be handled. view
  • 5 Nov 2020 in Senate: Finally, you will be surprised that some of these children with special needs requirements are some of the best achievers in society. Once properly directed, they can reach their potential and even become smarter than normal children who are in the regular class, thinking that they are better than the others. They have an opportunity to excel, to do their best, to become great scientists and to do other things that normal children cannot do. That is the opportunity that we must bequeath these children so that they stand tall in society. Fortunately, in Kenya, the Basic Education Act is ... view
  • 3 Nov 2020 in Senate: Thank you, Madam Deputy Speaker. Let me also add my voice to this very important historic and landmark ruling. I thank the team that represented us in the High Court. Let me also register that I was a Member of that group that energetically walked from this Chamber to Milimani High Court. One of the things that have come out pleasantly is reaffirmation and restatement of Article 110 of the Constitution as regard to Bills that may be generated by this House and the National Assembly. There has been a very clear definition on how the Fourth Schedule functions of ... view

Madam Deputy Speaker, therefore, there is an innovation that has been made or a certain amendment, adjustment or realignment of the laws, in order to accomplish particularly the two thirds gender rule. It has been a headache to an extent that some way has got to be found out on how to resolve this matter. With those few remarks, I thank you, Madam Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity. view

  • 17 Sep 2020 in Senate: Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker. Let me also add my voice. I want at the onset to thank my wife for being a prayer partner. view
  • 17 Sep 2020 in Senate: We realized that this country was headed for a split and she reminded me of 2007, 2008 when we had similar circumstances. We went to prayer and vividly remembered Philippians 2:13 which states- “For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” view
  • 17 Sep 2020 in Senate: The purpose we were praying for is that this country stands united and no one goes home losing. Even if a vote had been taken and had won marginally, the end result would have been that everybody, in one way or the other, would have lost through that formula. God at his own appointed time, when this formula should come to force, has reminded me that in mathematics, and I think Sen. Sakaja knows it, that we will break a small mass; the theory of relativity, which is, Energy = MC2, where Energy is the amount of energy spent to ... view
  • 15 Sep 2020 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for giving me an opportunity to speak on an area that I am an expert. I am the one who started the renal biopsy in this country to determine the level of renal disease in the country. It was clear that far from other causes we located in Europe, there were other tropical elements in Africa that led to kidney failure. The situation is that those with kidney failure will succumb or develop end stage renal failure and die without any intervention. If there is any intervention, through the dialysis that is provided by Level ... view
