• 30 Nov 2011 in National Assembly: The Ministry is implementing several short and long term measures to make cancer treatment accessible and affordable in the country. The short term measures are as follows: We have commenced the process of decentralizing cancer treatment. In this regard the following activities have been carried. 1. Two satellite oncology/cancer clinics have been established at the Coast and Nyanza Provincial General Hospitals and both are functioning. Other centres will be established in due course. 2. We were given about Kshs300 million in the Budget, which we are expected to use to buy equipment. We have already started the process of procuring this equipment. view
