Sen. Halake is a gifted and relational person. I am sure that she will succeed in making sure that the CMD-Kenya makes it, during her tenure, to be one of the best organisations. Therefore, I ask that she continues to be humble and strong, as she has been, and keep the eye on the ball. I encourage and congratulate her. I thank Sen. Nyamunga for bringing the Statement.

On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. You have brought this matter to a close but I have something to say. The Secretariat of the committees should write to inform every Senator from the respective counties because chairpersons might forget. If they organise trips, obviously there are elaborate arrangements. Therefore, they should be invited.

For example, West Pokot County has been visited under very interesting circumstances. We have cases where committees that are supposed to deal with roads end up dealing with health matters when they visit a county. They should always inform the Chairpersons of the relevant Committee on what they intend to do.

Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I also served as the Chairman of the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority. This matter needs to be taken seriously. I support the Petition by the affected families. A lot of Kenyans were affected when this crash happened and they would have supported this Petition at that moment. However, we tend to forget too fast. This crash did not happen long ago yet we had to wait for these families to appeal to us for them to get assistance. As Kenyans, we must continue caring for each. These families are dealing with trauma. The Government ...

Mr. Speaker, Sir, I have noted, as you have, that every time we stood on a point of order, it was not a point of order but more argument and reopening of debate. As we move to the next order, can we conclude, as a House, how we catch your eye on points of order, either by raising hands as some Members have done or pressing the intervention button? We need to know how to catch your eye because pressing this intervention button here does that. I have been trying to do that. So, can we agree that points of ...

Mr. Speaker, Sir, I join in the Statement by the Senator for Marsabit. Most of these are security airstrips and there is a budget for them. We also have a budget for security roads. It is important for the Government to understand that this saves lives. Therefore, the Committee should consider the need to map and check on the airstrips which are good for all of us in each county. There are some which have been neglected in every county. For example, in West Pokot, Kapenguria and Turkwel, security airstrips are not functional. So, let us include all the security ...
