  • 28 Apr 2022 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, regular sittings of the Senate will, therefore, resume on Wednesday, 4th May, 2022. On that day, the Senate Business Committee (SBC) will meet to schedule the business of the Senate, which is projected to contain business that will not be concluded from today’s Order Paper and any other business scheduled by the Committee. The Order Paper for Thursday, 5th May, 2022, will contain business that will not be concluded on Wednesday, 4th May, 2022, as well as Motions, Petitions, Statements and any other business as directed by the Senate Business Committee. view

  • 28 Apr 2022 in Senate: On the other hand, there are 11 Bills that are at the Committee of the Whole Stage, six of which have also been listed in today’s Order Paper for Division, at Order Nos.16 to 21. As regards to Divisions at Second Reading and at the Committee of the Whole, I urge all Senators to avail themselves for divisions and equally urge the movers of the Bills, Committee Chairpersons and individual Senators who have filled Amendments to be in the Chamber for the House to smoothly transition to the next stage. view
