UPGRADING OF RETIREMENT PACKAGE FOR TEACHERS THAT, being aware of the plight of retired teachers in the country and their pathetic retirement benefits and while noting that the state of the country has achieved remarkable economic growth in the last couple of years enabling it to improve not only the salaries of serving teachers, but also of retirement benefits of those retiring presently; this House urges the Government to consider upgrading the retirement packages for all the teachers who retired prior to the introduction of the improved benefits. view
