  • 14 Oct 2021 in Senate: The Bill, therefore, mandates the EACC to refer a matter to the DPP, where as a result of the lifestyle audit, the Commission is of the view that criminal proceedings should be instituted against the public officer. view
  • 14 Oct 2021 in Senate: The Bill further allows a person who is subject to the lifestyle audit to enter into a deferred prosecution agreement with the DPP, and so on, and so forth. The Bill says to tighten the noose on the requirements, let the people who have obtained monies corruptly feel the heat and know that there is a law that is going after them. view
  • 14 Oct 2021 in Senate: I would like to encourage the Members of this House to pass this Bill. I know that Sen. Farhiya has got a big interest in this matter, wanting to encourage us to play by the rules, so that we can be good citizens and leaders. view
  • 14 Oct 2021 in Senate: Madam Temporary Speaker, the Senate, having initiated this Bill, hopes that it will go through all the stages and become law for the sake of the sanity of leadership in this country. view
  • 14 Oct 2021 in Senate: I support. view
  • 13 Oct 2021 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, thank you very much for the opportunity to support this Petition. I do not intend to take long in adding my voice to the voice of the many that have already spoken. I thank the people of Kericho for raising this matter on behalf of the rest of the country. The issues raised in Kericho are the same issues I would have raised here for West Pokot. They are the same issues that anyone can raise anywhere else. view
  • 13 Oct 2021 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, in this age of an open budget process that is done by the public, there should be no reason why the teachers and workers in early childhood education should suffer. Kericho is governed by a very reasonable university professor. Given that he is an educationist; he should really put a lot of emphasis on this. view
  • 13 Oct 2021 in Senate: I am sure that the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) in charge of early education, which is the only thing they do, should really focus much on this sector. I am glad that the Senator for Kericho is now here. It did not even have to get here. It means that it is so bad, and that is why it has come here. view
  • 13 Oct 2021 in Senate: I want the Committee on Education to have a very serious look at this with the view of sorting out this problem once and for all. We do not have to have each county bringing these issues here if this particular case can be dealt with. view
  • 13 Oct 2021 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, can I be protected from the Senator of Kericho himself? view
