My reading of Article 71 of the Constitution is that parliamentary ratification is a requirement for all these agreements that involve a grant of a right or concession by or on behalf of any person, including the national Government, to another person for the exploitation of any natural resource of Kenya.   • 20 Mar 2024 in Senate: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, we had a similar case on the Southern Bypass, where they just woke up one day and put road bumps and the drivers, because they were not acclimatized--- If you know the bump that I am speaking about in Haile Selassie Avenue, it is not your normal-sized bump. Some of the decisions that are being taken by the road authorities may be contributing to the accidents that we are seeing in the country that could be preventable. On that note, allow me also to pass my condolences to the students of Kenyatta University following that accident. ... view
