  • 28 Nov 2012 in National Assembly: Okay. Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to reply. (a) Yes, I am aware that Mr. Julius Sigilai Kipkorir Chemjor was dismissed from the Postal Corporation of Kenya (PCK) on grounds of gross dishonesty and loss of confidence arising out of Mr. Chemjor fraudulently obtaining owner-occupier house allowance on an undeveloped plot No.Baringo/Kabarnet/Kewamoi 1490. The plot where Mr. Chemjor’s house stands is plot No. 1468, which belongs to Mr. Paul Kibet Chemjor, the younger brother of Mr. Chemjor. • 28 Nov 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I might not be able to commit myself on that aspect, but it is important to note that Mr. Chemjor has not approached the corporation on the same issue. The issue here is about power. I think, maybe, I will use the Floor to urge the Ministry of Energy to speed up the installation of power so that KBC can install signals in every home. KBC is ready to do that any moment. view
  • 2 Oct 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, we shall do whatever is possible. But I will ask the hon. Member to take into consideration that we are now migrating from analogue to digital television. As we do that, we are ready with the programme called Direct to Homes (DTH) which actually requires power. If we can also ask the relevant ministries - like the Ministry of Finance - to bring down the cost of solar energy, then we are very view
  • 26 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I stand, first of all, to apologize on behalf of my Minister and the Ministry for coming late. The Minister had something urgent in the constituency. He had to dash to his constituency this morning and he informed me to handle the matter. But I got delayed where I was. I beg for your indulgence. If your sanctions can be retracted, we can deal with this Question now. I am aware that it is the Minister who made the promise to bring more information, but I think what I have will suffice. view
