The National Water Policy is purposed to address the challenges and the threats we are facing today as a country. Three quarters of our country’s landmass feels threatened. Families do not have water, milk or anything in their houses because animals have crossed borders to Ethiopia and Somalia. We do not have animals around there. Those that are there are very weak and are dying. The media has not covered this disaster. If you go to those constituencies, you will not eat food for the next five days because of the situation you will face on the ground. In this time and era, it is very saddening, inhumane and disastrous that people and animals are dying because there is no water within the boundaries of this country.
