  • 20 Jun 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for this chance to speak to this extremely important Motion. I thank the Mover, Hon. Vincent, for such a critical Motion. In Laikipia West, in the last six or so months, we have been doing an assessment of the level of education in Laikipia West and some of the challenges that we face as a constituency are particularly because the level of education has been regrettably very low. One of the issues that have come out very clearly is that, indeed, the issue of feeding programme in the constituency is a big issue. In ... view
  • 20 Jun 2018 in National Assembly: Agriculture, for example, is a devolved function. This is an area of business where the food that is eaten by the pupils could come from the families around the school so that they can get business and our pupils are kept in school. Giving county governments the power to plan and work in conjunction with the national Government will go a long way in solving the challenges that lie ahead. In towns like Bombolulu, you will wonder at the structures that are coming up which are never planned. If we do not enact such ... view
  • 14 Sep 2017 in National Assembly: I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker for having been voted by all of us who believe in you. My name is Hon. Stanley Muthama, Member of Parliament for Lamu West. I also take this opportunity to thank and congratulate all Members who have made it to this august House. In the elections that were held, we believed in the manifesto of our President, who told people that Kenya needs to be united. Our unity is going to be our strength now and in future. We went into campaigns, voted and got ... view
