  • 5 Jul 2016 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I am not sure if this House or the Committees of this House have the powers to issue such orders. • 5 Jul 2016 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I rise to support this Motion. From the outset, I want to appreciate what has gone into the negotiations that led into setting up this Joint Committee. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, elections and the body mandated to carry out elections is a very important issue in this Republic. It is an urgent issue, knowing very well that we have very few months to the next election. However, it is unfortunate that we have taken too long to have these discussions and sort out the issues of the IEBC. From the initial stages when the Coalition for ... view
