Temporary Deputy Chairman, I am talking about the amendment to Clause 60, subclause (4), which talks about deleting the word “shall” and substituting therefor the word “may”. It says that the procuring entity may immediately release any tender security if the conditions given in parts (a), (b) and (c) are met. I oppose the amendment because tender security costs a lot of time, money and effort. People who go and tender must take responsibility by buying these tenders the right way. I support. view
