From the outset, I must say wholeheartedly that I support this appointment. As Kenyans, we need divine intervention. We have reached that time of the year and period in our lives when each one of us needs divine intervention. What a better way to look at this one human being who has come in the name of Archbishop (Rtd.) Dr. Eliud Wabukala Wamukekhe! I know we are all looking and having highest regards and demands of him. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I tend to agree with Hon. Duale because this clause is the reason I was really holding this Bill in high regard. In as much as trying to curb corruption, we need to give private entities the room, space and the benefit of the doubt so that they can fight this vice. So, I do not support this deletion.

Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, I support the proposed amendment by Hon. Chepkong’a. He moved Clause 18 as a whole but we were consulting with Hon. ole Kenta on Clause 18(f) on the deletion of Sub-clause 13.

Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I would like to contribute to the Petition that has been brought by some petitioners who are well within their right to bring petitions to Parliament. I have absolutely nothing against people who feel that their rights have been violated, especially in areas where they have been mistreated.
