I want to contribute to this Bill, support it wholly and say that it has come at the right time. In my Elgeyo Marakwet County, we have a huge land which is Arid and Semi- Arid and has mineral deposits. I think when we have a Bill like this to control the mining of those minerals, it is going to support our county and the National Government. The county government is already banking on ... view
  • 15 Jul 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me the opportunity. I rise to strongly support the Bill because the scrap metal business has given us a lot of problems back home. Boys leave school to collect scrap metal and sell cheaply. So, we want to make sure that the students are allowed to sit for a special exam so that they can catch up with their academic career. view

I want to say that if this Motion is passed, we are going to be in control of the national resources and also personal resources. We know what is happening in the Judiciary and I think that is the highest misuse of Government resources. I want to recommend that if they are found guilty they should be made to ... view
