Hon. Speaker, I stand to support this Motion. In the said Kamiti land, there are homes and facilities we cannot disrupt because of school-going children. So, there is need to honour what the former Heads of State did. I am told that this land was given by former President Moi. There are many other lands like the Mau Forest. We need to settle people in that area so that children are not disrupted in school.

I support the Motion because people have used their money to develop that land. Kenyans should enjoy where they are staying and their children should go to school. The Government has to take care of the children. There is a rule which says that when one stays on any land for 12 years, the land belongs to him. Therefore, those people are entitled to the land. They need not be disrupted.

Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me the opportunity to speak on this Bill. If we pass this Bill, people will be responsible. They will utilise in the right way whatever they have been given. Many people in this nation are crying because they guaranteed people who borrowed loans. Their land and animals have been sold. I know of a particular woman in my county who guaranteed a politician and the only animal she had was sold to recover the money. That lady is still crying. So, people should be responsible when they take loans. They should utilise ...

borrower be made to sweat for whatever they have been lent. The Bible says you should eat the bread of your own sweat. The banks should be responsible and go after borrowers. They should be thorough with their work when they are giving out loans. They should not make Kenyans pay for what they have not utilised. The assets of the borrowers should be sold. When somebody asks for a loan, they should do so knowing that they will repay it. There are many people whose land has been sold and they are crying. So, this law is good. It ...

Hon. Speaker, I beg to give notice of the following Motion: THAT, aware that cervical cancer is the leading cause of cancer in the country causing the greatest number of deaths with at least eight to 10 women succumbing every day to the disease; further aware that most women diagnosed with pre-cancerous changes in the cervix are in their 20s and 30s, but the average age of women when they are diagnosed with cervical cancer is mid-50s; considering that the human papillomavirus (HPV) is one of the most common viruses in the world with four out of five (80 per ...

Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I rise to support the President's Address. The President talked about his obligations in the Big Four Agenda on food security. Agriculture is the mainstay of our economy. It creates 60 per cent of the jobs in Kenya. But there are concerns that farmers and traders have 16.3 million bags in their stores and the Government has four million bags yet there are people who are dying in Turkana, Baringo and other arid areas. So, when we talk about food security, the Government should buy the 16.3 million bags to take care of people who are ...
