  • 28 Jul 2020 in National Assembly: Parliament, we have received calls from various principals that they are suffering. Some of these suppliers took loans to supply goods to schools and the prolonged delay is not only affecting them but their families too. The loans are also accruing interest. It is time the Ministry reacts to this issue so that schools can be assisted. The BOM teachers and other staff are also suffering as they have not been paid. I support the Petition. view

Could the Cabinet Secretary: (i) Provide a report regarding the programme of implementation of the Kazi Mtaani initiative by the National Government, indicating the constituencies where the initiative has been rolled out and total number of youths who have been engaged under the initiative in each constituency? I am in receipt of a letter dated 29th May 2020 from the Minority Whip, which gives me seven days to respond to allegations of violation of the law and gross misconduct before I am fully discharged from the Committees of Transport, Public Works and Housing, as well as from the Parliamentary Powers and Privileges Committee. Hon. Speaker, I am alleged to have violated the law and accused of gross misconduct.
