6 Jul 2006 in National Assembly:
Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, I am sorry I was not following the discussions because I was preparing for my own Bill which appears later. However, if you said: "Clause 6 be amended as it appears on the Order Paper" and not as it had been moved, then I would say that the whole thing has been done.

Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister should tell this House what measures he has put in place to appreciate the work of the CDF. If the CDF committees can allocate some money to be used by Ministries in constituency projects, the Ministries should in turn allocate money to the projects that the CDF committees have come up with. What plans does this Ministry have to fund the projects that have been started using the CDF money countrywide?

It is a good coincidence that I am moving this Bill when this morning, the National Action Plan against corruption was launched. The issue of witness protection is very important in the administration of the criminal justice system and, in particular, as I stated earlier, it aims at unravelling and successfully investigating and prosecuting corruption. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, this is ...
