24 Feb 2009 in National Assembly:
and all that. Kenyans do not want us to take sides. We see people taking sides on tribal grounds. The people outside there do not want that. We all must work together as Kenyans, and should not bring up tribal divisions. As a new Member of Parliament, that has really upset me. I really believe that I am the face of Kenya. I am in the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, which represents all young Kenyans in this country. It is time we all started thinking of what we are doing and what people outside there are thinking about ...

24 Feb 2009 in National Assembly:
Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the other thing is that I come from Ukambani, which is a dry area. We now have drought not only in Ukambani but in the whole of Kenya. As the Member of Parliament for Kathiani Constituency, I August 7, 2008 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 2457 feel that I should go back home and initiate my Constituencies Development Fund (CDF) projects which have not been initiated. Apart from that, as you know, at the beginning of the year, we never worked very well. So, it is high time we went home at least for two months to work with our people. Some of us work in the Government and we are divided between the Government, constituency and Parliament. So, if ...

Thank you, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker. First, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the House for supporting the Vote of our Ministry. So, it is our duty to ensure that the energy of the youth is directed in the right way. Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, it ...
