27 Apr 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, with a lot of humility and respect, I do not agree with that position. The only way a stay of execution will be issued is under Rule

27 Apr 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, this is a fairly straightforward matter and the Assistant Minister has undertaken to go and check if there is a stay in the execution of this order. In the event that there is no stay given by the Court of Appeal, then he should also equally undertake to reinstate these 38 workers. The signal that he is sending to the Republic is that non-compliance with the rule of law is acceptable yet the court is where we go to arbitrate between warring parties. These people went to court and got an order. They have also gone ...

What is the Minister going to do to make sure that innocent Kenyans do not lose their jobs so that their jobs are taken over by the councilors? What is the policy of the Ministry?

19 Apr 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, I am not sure whether the Assistant Minister is aware that all he requires is the bill of lading. He says they are in touch with the Thai Government. All he needs to know is the vessel that carried the ivory from Kenya and the container number. So, those details that the Member for Yatta is looking for will be available in a simple document that he can get by email. So, he is trying as usual to seek time by saying that investigations are ongoing. Could he confirm or deny whether he has the bill of ...

19 Apr 2011 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to ask the Minister for Roads the following Question by Private Notice. (a) Is the Minister aware that the ongoing Thika Road construction by Shengli Construction Company has affected the residents of New Wood Estate by diverting the estate water supply hence heightening the risk of water-borne diseases? (b) What immediate measures is the Ministry taking to address the matter? Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would seek the indulgence of the House. If you look at the Question it is asking about diverting the estate water. The Question that I intended to ask was about diverting ...
