• 3 Jul 2018 in National Assembly: THAT, pursuant to the provisions of Section 13 of the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act, 2011, relating to extension of period for consideration of nominees for appointment to State and public offices and Section 11(7) of the Commission of Administrative Justice Act, 2011, this House resolves to extend the period for consideration of the nominees submitted by His Excellency the President for appointment to the offices of Chairperson and Members of the Commission on Administrative Justice by a period of fourteen (14) days from 18th July 2018. view

The reason why that judgement was served upon this House is because we are the institution that is supposed to appropriate funds for the political parties. view

One of the presentation which I made before the Committee is the need for this House to avail Ksh2.7 billion because that is the money which ought to be allocated to the political parties. That is 0.3 per cent. I recall that very day that Hon. Mbadi and the other Members of the Budget and Appropriations Committee were very keen to listen to me.
