(a) The allocation of the CDF among constituencies is governed by a formula specified in the Constituencies Development Fund Act, 2003. From 2004, the CDF has been allocating funds to the constituencies according to the following formula:- (i) Three-quarters of the net total CDF is divided equally among all the constituencies, netting out 5 per cent for emergency and 3 per cent for administration purposes.
