They sort out nuclear and extended families conflicts. They assist in identifying the vulnerable in their villages in my constituency. They also help me in allocation of bursaries. They also assist in identification of projects. When we are conducting public participation for allocation of resources at the lower level, they play a very important role. We cannot do away with the role of the village elders. view
