  • 27 Jul 2011 in National Assembly: where it is only foreigners who are concerned about what is happening. I have not seen even the top leadership of this country making any statement about this. It is a pathetic situation and I would like to urge the Members to support this Motion. I hope the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance - I have seen the Assistant Minister - will support this Motion and have it implemented. With those few remarks, I beg to second. view
  • 20 Jul 2011 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I think the question the previous Member asked is very relevant to this one. That is on the markets. Generally, the projects that fall under the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Ministry of Local Government, that is the markets and so on, tend to stall. • 15 Jun 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the second part of the Question was ideally dealing with the wear and tear on the paved roads. I would like him to tell this House the measures his Ministry has put in place to ensure that we adhere to the specifications, and quality of work to ensure that we do not encounter these potholes on the roads frequently the way we do. view
  • 15 Jun 2011 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I am addressing the aspect of quality and compliance with specifications, so that we do not have the potholes that we encounter every now and then. That is what I would like the Assistant Minister to address. view
  • 15 Jun 2011 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I have just asked my first question! view
  • 15 Jun 2011 in National Assembly: What about other hon. Members? view
  • 15 Jun 2011 in National Assembly: How long will the Ministry take to get in place those long-term maintenance schemes, which can take care of these roads regularly rather than what we are experiencing now? view
