I totally disagree with my colleagues who say that the President has done a favour to Members of Parliament. I think he used his wisdom as a great man who understands what this country is all about. To demand qualifications like a degree is missing the point because as you all know, many times Members of Parliament go to compete in any election. In my case, I had more than four degree holders. • 26 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, this Question was answered by my Assistant Minister on Tuesday, 19th of June, 2012. The only outstanding matter was that the hon. Member wanted to know whether we had sent a protest note because of the allegation made by the American Ambassador. view
• 26 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the military or defence forces do not normally write any protest notes to any country. That is under the mandate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On the same day this Question was answered, the Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs said they had written a protest note. So, if there was any protest note to be brought before the House, then it was the Minister for Foreign Affairs to do so. view
