3 Jun 2014 in Senate:
Thank you very much, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I am, indeed, pleased to contribute today, something which I have not done in the last couple of impeachment Motions that were discussed in this House. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I agree with the sentiments expressed by Sen. Kiraitu, as he cited the Constitution which has set the Governor free and also the many other reasons that he has given. I personally feel very strongly that one year in the dispensation,we should not have hurried in impeaching Governors, because that will send a very wrong message to members of the county assemblies, ...

17 Apr 2014 in Senate:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, thank you very much. In compliance with the ruling you made yesterday, I wish to make the following Statement in response to a request by Sen. Kembi-Gitura. First and foremost, I stand to commend the Attorney-General for having responded to my very short notice at 9.00 a.m., to appear before my Committee which he obliged, inspite of the fact that he was in a very crucial meeting with the Committee responsible for making recommendations on the workings of parastatals in this country. 17 Apr 2014 in Senate:
Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. From the outset, I want to support this Motion and take the opportunity to congratulate His Excellency the President who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces for the commendable work that he is doing both in East Africa and beyond to cement good relations aimed at achieving peaceful co-existence among neighbours and the world. Whereas Kenya’s foreign relations policy was classified as “a wait and see” policy, now we can say that our foreign relations have matured under the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta because he has gone further than East Africa ...
