Zuleikha Juma Hassan

Zuleikha is grateful that her father’s postings abroad exposed her to a myriad of opportunities, which impacted on her life positively. While studying in South Africa, she recalls that she went through the stages of anger over apartheid. The realization of Zuleikha that one needed to be in politics to influence policy formulation prompted her to join politics. Initially, Zuleikha sought the Kaloleni parliamentary seat but was dissuaded. In parliament she has pushed the government to fund the National Youth Council.
