  • 6 May 2020 in National Assembly: Pili, ni jambo kila mmoja wetu analifahamu, nina Imani kwamba hakuna yeyote hapa atakayeweza kukubali Mkenya alipishwe amana ambayo hana hatia yoyote.
  • 6 May 2020 in National Assembly: Asante sana, Mhe. Naibu Spika wa Muda. Nimefahamika kuhusiana na hilo na ningemwomba ndugu yangu, Mhe. Ibrahim Ahmed Abdisalan aniunge mkono kwa jambo hili. Ikiwezekana, Mhe. Naibu Spikawa Muda, kwa ruhusa yako, kwamsimamo… view
  • 29 Apr 2020 in National Assembly: No, Hon. Speaker. I actually wanted to speak on what the Member had requested on the issue of finance. Accept my apologies on that. view
  • 29 Apr 2020 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, I heard Hon. Sabina, who started by saying that the President had formed the Special Committee. It is this very House that gave life to that Committee. However, through various other media sources, the Committee has been indicating that they are going to be audited by Delloitte and Touché which is not as per the rules and regulations governing any particular institute or organisation that is being given money by public coffers. So, I just want us to be very clear on that. Also, I have amendments on Hon. Duale’s Motion that is coming up. I want to ... view

  • 22 Apr 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. As Hon. Musimba and my brother, Hon. Makali, have rightfully put it, this particular Railway Levy Fund was there to ensure that this country does not get burdened by its debt. I would have appreciated that if this had come with an auspice that thereafter, the railway will return the money back to the Railway Levy Fund. We are simply using COVID-19 to say that we now need to run that railway line. The reason we are saying that is because there is an amount of money that has to be paid to a ... view

  • 22 Apr 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. The concept and the idea might sound very normal however, I need to agree with our brother, Hon. Otiende, that this particular issue... I wish to state that I do not own any property or a house unlike the Leader of the Majority Party but I beg for the Chair of the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning so that the goodness in these particular amendments do not go to waste. I would beg that he does not let the House to drop it. I beg that he withdraws it and it can ... view
  • 3 Mar 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. Mine is just to add to it. I hope I heard the Chair right. He said that every student has been sent Kshs15,000 through the Embassy. I see nothing wrong at all in that. The grave concern is for those who want to voluntarily come back home to be allowed to do so and be facilitated after being screened at the point of exit and entry. I was hoping the Senate would work fast and come up with some level of documentation because as it stands right now, health is a devolved function unless it is ... view
