Cherargei who is always on the look out to ensure that our executive and people in agencies that are supposed to make sure that the people are looked after are held to account. He has always been very consistent and proactive in this.

The issue of vaccination is sad given the statistics that Sen. Cherargei has shared with us. Having been one of the lucky ones that got the vaccine, I did not just realize how low the numbers of people that have been vaccinated is. About 1.3 per cent is barely a drop in the ocean with all these spikes and incidents of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and deaths as well. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.48 (1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Education on the high dropout rates of school-going children but specifically school-going girls. In the Statement the Committee should: - (1) Outline the strategies in place to ensure that teenage girls who drop out of school are tracked, enrolled and proceed with their education.
