The Constitution of Kenya 2010 has provided even better provisions for us. Other laws including the Matrimonial Act have also better and more progressive provisions. The enactment of this Bill will address the provisions in law which are detrimental to women whose family members died prior to 1981. Most of us are familiar with the Community Land Act which has given specific provisions to make sure that things that were not done well in the other Land Act are taken care of under the Community Land Act to ensure that the rights of pastoral communities are also taken care of. view
