So, I was talking to a Cabinet Secretary who visited three counties and did not go with any Member of Parliament. How will development be projected? How will the people on the ground appreciate the existing synergy between Members of Parliament and the Government? These are the things we are discussing here today. There is a need for ... view

  • 25 Oct 2023 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I also applaud the petitioner. Education plays a critical role in not only our national development but also in the promotion of Kenya as a human resource capital. The UN recently voted this country as one of the best in human resource capital simply because we have professionally trained teachers and we have had one of the best education systems. That is why the ruling you made recently to refer that Report to the relevant Committee was great. I urge these Members to save from other areas and support the promotion of teachers who have stagnated ... view

  • 25 Oct 2023 in National Assembly: Without speculation, because we know the Supplementary Budget will come tomorrow or the other day or after six months, I urge all of us to prioritise funding for teachers who have stagnated at that time. • 27 Sep 2023 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. This House is under threat. Some of us have been in this House for quite some time, since the Eighth Parliament. Some of the key institutions that have benefited Members of Parliament and their constituencies are the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) and KeRRA. I do not want to delve into the politics of the formation of KeRRA, the KURA, KeNHA, and KRB. view
