• 12 Nov 2014 in National Assembly: Finally, I remember my colleagues in the CORD, a coalition that I have a lot of respect for; in one of their referendum questions, they want to bring in something about creating a Public Service that represents the face of Kenya. He will continue with that in his second term, and he will make Kenya join the countries that are called “high income middle class countries”. I am happy today that this House has concluded the Second Reading of one of the constitutional Bills that are before the House. view

The matter that the media has picked up from our colleagues in the Senate is in bad taste and I need to make a few clarifications. Firstly, as you said, the Mining Bill was passed on 29th October, 2014 with several Committee amendments adopted during the Committee Stage. The process of certifying those amendments by the Clerk of the National Assembly is underway. The Bill has not yet been submitted to the President for assent.
