Hon. Speaker, Sir, this is a joint Committee of both Houses of Parliament. The Kenya National Assembly has already nominated its membership to the Committee. The Senate is on recess. I hope that it will resume today. I expect that once they nominate their membership to the joint Committee, the Directors of Committees of both Houses will convene a meeting for the purpose of election of the leadership of the Committee. Hon. Speaker, Sir, from the outset, I want to thank His Excellency the President for assenting to the Division of Revenue Bill as per the Constitution. They have indicated that they have worked long hours to make sure that they meet the deadline.
