  • 30 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. It is on a point of procedure. The Mover moves, he is seconded, the House debates; it is up to the House to decide the way to go; it can either reject or adopt the report. We should give the Chair, as I said earlier, a chance to proceed and conclude the moving, otherwise we will sit here until the cows come back home. view
  • 29 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Under our Standing Orders, a document must first be tabled and you approve it before a Member reads it to the House and the nation. Is hon. Midiwo in order to read a document that the Speaker has not looked at? view

  • 24 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir, there is nothing worse than a seizure of your property. This is well covered under Clause 46. I do not see the relevance of the element of an emergency. We have a reformed and transformative Judiciary. People should go through the Judiciary as a safeguard. Furthermore, Clause 46 is there. So, Clause 50 is of no relevance. view
