16 Sep 2009 in National Assembly:
I believe that this House has gone through a lot of tension. We are going through trying times. Even when you watch cooking going on in the house, there is a time that you need to lift the lid for the pot to simmer and for the food to cook properly. I believe that we are at that kind of point. We, as leaders, need to have that break so that we can start talking to each other and looking at where we are taking this country. We, as leaders, are called upon by our people to shape the destiny ...

Show us where to go.â That has happened in other ...

15 Sep 2009 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, let us now start looking at the fundamentals and start saying: âWhat is it that we want?â We want to conserve that public land and the Report has identified the modalities. Nobody has said that people are just going to be flushed out. The Report is very clear that there will be modalities of how the people will be relocated just like they will be relocated from Kibera, just like kiosks are being relocated from the roadsides. There is a relocation plan. So, let us not worry about that and let us use this time to ...

15 Sep 2009 in National Assembly:
On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. Is the hon. Member in order to insinuate that I am advocating for the use of force and for illegal matters while I have just supported a Motion that has been amended to incorporate the rule of law?
