• 2 Dec 2021 in National Assembly: What more can we aspire to? We deserve to pat ourselves on the back and be proud of the legislative year that has been. As we recollect and appreciate what has been achieved, I wish to point out the mission of the 12th Parliament is not over yet. We still have a significant number of good legislative proposals, Bills and other statutory instruments that more certainly need our keen attention including the 25 Bills that we have just saved to process between end of January and April. The committees will not be meeting and in fact this gives committee the ample time to take this time to expedite their pending business before they also break for the long recess. view

This Special Business may well include the passage of the constitutional names that Members have been processing plus anything else the the Speakers’ office and the Leader of Minority will consider important enough to recall you so that we can process during the break. view

• 2 Dec 2021 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Chair, again for the record, I note that on the Order Paper, at Page 1577, there is a typing error in part (b). In part (a), it is amending by deleting paragraph (a), and in (b), deleting paragraph (b), but it reads as paragraph (a). So, I just want to have that recorded that, indeed, it is deleting paragraph (a), and (b), by deleting paragraph (b). The (c), is a deletion of the New Section. We should have it on record that it is (a), and (b) are being deleted, not (a), being deleted twice. view
