I heard the Chairperson of the Kenya National Human Rights and Equality Commission (KNHREC), who was a co-chair of the mediation process saying, on the CBA they had already agreed on many issues. • 14 Feb 2017 in Senate: Thank you. As I result of that, I feel that, that order was unnecessary. I would like to appeal to the President. Although he has powers under Section 133(1)(b) of the Constitution to postpone the carrying out of a punishment, but normally one waits for the court process to be exhausted before the President can step in. My final appeal is to the Court of Appeal which is hearing an appeal tommorw to suspend these orders of committal.
